Well with episodes 5 and 6 we are in for a little change of pace as we move a way from Clare and Maki of a bit and follow another Claymore. Our new Claymore is named Teresa of the Faint Smile it seem our new girl is the best of the best. Not only can she kill yoma in a blink of an eye but she does it without even drawing on her yoma power and does it all with a nice seriene look on her face.
So Teresa finishes up her assignment and goes on to the next job where she kills four yoma even before they can drop their human disguises. She quickly take out two more after they transform and starts looking for the seventh whose presence she felt as she entered the village. But, it seem that our seventh yoma has been dragging a young girl around with him as a plaything and the young talkative girl quickly latches on to Teresa as she leaves the village the next day. After the standard follow the Claymore around until she takes you in stuff we run into a band of outlaws that at first are scared of Teresa until their boss tell them that if a Claymore kills a human that the other Claymores will kill her. So the outlaws decide to do a little Claymore raping until Teresa take off her clothes that is then they decide that they have better things to do with their time. (Just what is it that is wrong with the body of a Clayomre anyway?) So in the morning as they head out Teresa decides to give our young girl a name, Clare which just happens to be her name (what are the odds of that). Well it seem Clare and Teresa are the names of the twin goddess of love so we’ll see where the writers will go with that.
So at the next village Teresa takes out the yoma and finds a nice couple to take young Clare in so that is can have a normal life not the messed up life that Teresa seem to be having. But now with the yoma gone our raping band of thieves now feel safe to take out the town killing and burning as they go. Teresa quickly comes back to town to save Clare only to find her in the hand of one of the bad guys who is a bit on the crazy side after Teresa gave him his new nickname of ‘lefty’. Well thing come to their logical conclusions and Teresa snaps and kills the lot of them. Well that is not good news for Teresa as the boss man shows up with with a few of the other girls to take Teresa out for braking rule number one. But, Teresa will not walk quietly into the long good night and puts some hurting on the other Claymores. The episode ends with Teresa and Clare walking off into the sunset with the boss man falling back to plan B for dealing with Teresa.

Over all they were a couple of good episodes with the quick action and stunning visuals that we have come to expect from Claymore. Now there has been a lot of speculation as to whither this story arc is following a second Claymore human pair or is it Clare’s back story. I think it is back story myself as they young girl looks a little like Maki’s Clare. The situations are similar which enough to one another and it would explain the man -in-black’s comment about Maki reminding Clare of herself. We will just have to wait and see I guess.
