Well ever since the downtime a few weeks back things here have not quite been working right. After many attempts to fix the problems I have decide to do a complete reinstall of Wordpress and the plugins that I am currently using. I hate having to do this but at this point it seems to be my only option.

Maintenance is the part I dislike the most when dealing with the blog. I sopose that I could go with hosted solution like Wordpress.com. The downside with that is while they do allow you to make some changes to the look of the blog you are stuck with their templates. So while it is easier to set up and the do the maintenance it is harder to differentiate yourself from others on the same site and in the long run that is not a good thing.

So when is this grand change going to happen. Well at first I thought it was going to happen tonight but by how long the backup is taking ( never do a wipe without a backup) it is going have to be later. In fact now that I think of it on the 21st I am taking a week off work, and I think I will wait till then to do the wipe and reinstall so I don’t have to worry about having the job half done before I have to head off to bed. So now that’s the plan the wipe and reinstall will take place Sunday evening the 22nd.
