Well I will be going on a road trip starting Aug 8th. I am driving from the west coast to Goose Creek, South Carolina to visit my nephews and give them my old car. I will then fly back on the 20th. While I will be taking my old clunky laptop with me Internet connections are not assured. I will try to post from the road and post some pictures as I go if I can find Windows 98 drivers for my camera.

Well scratch that last part I may not take the laptop after all. Just got it out and it works fine, but I cant seem to find the wireless card I had for it. I don’t think it’s worth the money to buy one for one trip. Will keep looking for the card thou and if I can find one cheap I may go ahead and get one. If I can find one that still supports Widoze 98.

So for six days it will be and my Dad in a 94 Ford Escort driving about 9-10 hours a day. Will be quite the adventure one this one trip I will see more of the United States that I have seen in my whole life. Heck I count the cities outside of California that I have visited on one hand with a couple of fingers left over. That would be Reno, Nevada (couple of 6hr turnarounds casino trips), Ashland, OR (been there twice to see plays during the summer) and Seattle, Washington (went last year for Sakura-Con) and that’s it for outside of California.

The reason for the trip is to get my old car to my nephews who are graduating from Naval Power school on the 14th and afterwards will be living off base while they do their Nuclear Simulator training. Their mother and mine (their grandmother) will fly out later in the week and meet up with up in Goose Creek.

So while I am gone don’t expect to see much in the way of updates here unless I find that darn wireless card, even then things might not update because of time or connection issues.
