The Otaku.fm Effect

Well as you can see from the graph above The Geek Review has a little spike in page views and ones assumes readership. So why the sudden surge in page views. Well two things happened near the same time to bring this about. 1 Danny Choo, launched Otaku.fm a kind  of Geek/Otaku blog portal site as a way for his readers to find other sites of interest and as a way to give back to the people who have been linking to his site.

The 2nd is shortly after the launch of Otaku.fm I started to update on a daily basis, in fact there has been a post a day for almost four weeks now. Now this was not planned on my part it just sort of happened. At first it was kind neat to see The Geek Review at the top of the Otaku category at Otaku.fm and the posting was a way to keep up near the top of the page. Then it been more of a challenge to myself how long can I keep the post a day up. Now I will admit that some of the posts have been kind of lacking, more quantity then quality, but, I blame that on OCDing on the Brotherhood 2.0 archives. Don’t know what it is but watching video turn my brain off a bit and then trying to figure out what to write about that day become a bit of a challenge. But, the reason that I posted them anyways was because I know me. If I didn’t post something, no matter how bad it might be, it would become easier and easier to find excuses not to post. So let’s see how long I can keep this up.

Quick question to my readers, what would you like to see more/less of here on The Geek Review?
