Shakugan no Shana Flame Haze Figure Review
Well if you don’t know who Shana, you might want to crawl out from that rock you have been living under. Shana is the star of the hit anime and light novel series Shakugan no Shana. (Google it if your not a anime geek.) There has been more then a few Shana figures come out in the last year but this one I feel captures Shana better then the rest.
What makes this figure a little different the most is the use of a translucent plastic material for the hair. Letting Shana stand out in all of her fiery glory. When the light hits it from behind it can really light up, too bad none of my picture really shows it off. While the pose is some what bland the captured motion of her skirt and top more then make up for it. (The pose was taken from the cover of one of the light novels and is available in wall scroll form.) Max Factory did outstanding work with the paint job and shading adding to the ‘motion’ of the skirt and top. The pendent that is Alastor’s connection to our world is hung on a thin wire instead of string enabling to be posed in the air, smiler to the anime where it is all ways flapping in the wind when Shana is in Flame Haze mode. Seams are fairly well hidden except for a couple of major on on her hair, but being that the hair is not painted it is to be expected. The only other complent I have is the base is just plain, and doesn’t complement the figure at all. Most places are sold out but you might still be able to get her at HLJ, Play-Asia, AnimeXing, Kid Nemo, or Hobby Search.
