The opening on the series give some nods to the movie with a car driving down a desert road with a voice over of Sarah Connor talking about the future for her son. That along with opening dream sequence help tie the series into the first two movies in both look and feel. The opening also helps draw us into Johns world where at any time Sarah will decide that things are just getting to comfortable and it’s time to move again. In this case the trigger being that her boyfriend of six months had asked her to marry him. Unfortunately it’s his going to the police to file a missing persons report that enables the Terminator to find them. John meets his protector at his new school where she is doing a very good impersonation of a high school student. Of course every thing go to heck when the Hunter Terminator tries to kill John during the middle of class. Our heroes get away via a nice little deus ex machina, it seem that John in the far future sent his very best engineer back in time to the 196o’s where he left a nice little reto-future tech weapon and a time machine that John and the girls use to escape to the future, 2007 to be exact.

I love Summer Glau as the Protector Terminator she can be the cute little high school girl then turn right around and be the emotionless cyborg the next. The fact that she has to two nude scenes is just a plus. ;-) So far I have liked what I have seen, the second episode is tonight at 9, which is the regular time, and by the looks of the preview it too looks to be an action packed episode. The true test of this series is going to be when the have to have episodes were there is not a lot of action, as no tv series can keep up this kind of effects budjet for long.
