Aono Tsukune is a below average Jr High School student who couldn’t pass the High School entrance exams, but ‘luckily’ for him his dad picked up the entrance packet dropped but a mysterious monk. So now Tsukune gets to go to Yokai Academy. The bad news is Yokai Academy is a school for monsters, vampires, werewolves, succubus, ghouls and the like. On his way to his new school Tsukune runs in to, or more precisely gets ran over by, a fellow freshman Akashiya Moka. Moka it turns out is a vampire and is very smitten with Tsukune. After their morning class, were we find out that the penalty for humans entering the school is death, Moka lets Tsukune in on her little secret, while giving the viewer a nice shot of her cleavage. Moka’s secret is that if the cross that she wears is removed that her other self will come out.
Rosario + Vampire so far looks to shape up to your average harem anime as there are definitely a few more good looking ladies on the horizon. The hook with the series is of course monster theme and Moka spilt personality, which comes complete with ‘magical girl’ transformation sequence. For a light hearted harem anime it also has an over abundance of pantie shots, maybe too many. If you want ot see screen shots head over to Loliton.
