As the journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step so The Geek Review’s path to World Domination and Glory has started to bear fruit.

A couple of day ago Danny over at Dannychoo.com talked about the Alexa tool bar that you can install on your browser. The tool bar both helps Alexa track internet useage and show you where the page you are viewing ranks in the world. So I went ahead and installed it on the Mac and had a little fun seeing where the sites I visit rank.

At the time The Geek Review rank was right around 2,300,000 give or take 10,000 not to bad for a little site that is not much more then a hobby. But, image my suprise when I looked at the toolbar today and see that I had jumped to an impresssive 1,890,000, a move of over 400,000 places. So I hop over to the Alexa site and took a look at my detail page. Imange my suprise when I found out that my three month average rank has jumped over 5,000,000. While these rankings should be taken with a grain of salt it is still interesting to see the changes. The most intersting thing that I noticed is the section that show where the traffic is coming from. All most half my traffic is coming from Japan and Singapore and even more shocking is that the small country of Brunei made it into the top five. So I would like to extend a harty hello to all my reader from Asia and the world. And if its not too much trouble I would kindly ask you to just leave a quick message down in the comments about where your from and where you found out about my little corner of the internet.
