Clare up for Pre-order.
Well Clare has become available for pre-order at couple of websites. Both HLJ.com and Hobby Search have her and I’m sure that the rest of the usual suspects will have her soon. While Hobby Search’s pre-order price is a bit lower (5,247 yen vs. 5,510 yen) they only ship EMS which can add quite a bit to the cost. If you don’t NEED to have it right after release HLJ offers SAL shipping which can save you quite a bit.

Good price @HLJ, I thought this figure was going to be around $70US. I’ve only shopped with HLJ a couple of times so far. I always use EMS with them and although I find their shopping process a bit odd (having to tell them to ship your items or risk losing out if you have other items waiting in the same order). Buy more than one item and save on shipping though. Once the do process the order it usually gets to me in 3 days… Tokyo - SF - OC… I like that and always deliver on Sundays.
Anyway, this is one of those figures I would have to see first… the photos online so far don’t look promising. But I bet a lot of people want it… after all it’s Clare. I just finished watching Claymore this past weekend and it’s up there as one of my favorites ![]()

@JB
Yea there is just something about the face that don’t seem right.
I’ve only bought from Hobby Search once didn’t have any problems, I’ve just done a lot with them do to them only shipping EMS. I’m will to wait for SAL. It’s not insured but I just don’t see the risk being that high of something happening. (Of course now that I’ve said that the watch something happen to my next package.

Japan to California shouldn’t be a problem, unless their is a sailor aboard who is also an anime fan. ![]()
I might try SAL sometime myself, it would come in handy on art books. I have seen the EMS cost of shipping to be equal to the price of the books…. w/SAL I think we are talking about half that. I can find most of the books locally, however the retailers are charging 2x the cover.
Anyway good luck… looking forward to pictures if you order this one.

Well SAL (Surface Air Lift) is ground inter country then flown trans-ocean just low priority so no worries about crazed anime fan sailors. But because its low priority transit times are erratic sometimes takes 5 days sometimes 2 weeks.

My bad, I always thought SAL was ground & sea. I’ll have to try it sometime.

This claire doesn’t look as good as the megahouse one.. one thing I don’t like about SAL is that it is not insured. So it’s a bit of a gamble for cheaper shipping cost..
btw, let’s exchange links ok? Mine at http://otaku.prim3.org
