Hey HP Where’s The Love
The project for the night was to hook up my old HP scanner and get it working on the Mac. The problem was where was it. How I was able to lose something the size of my scanner a mystery. But then again with all the stuff in my room nothing is imposable. Well after a couple of hours of searching I found it hidden behind my boom box. Now that is was found it was time to search for the power supply, that went a lost quicker. So get it all hooked up and head over to HP’s website to get the Mac drivers for it and guess what. They don’t have OS X drivers available for download, they will only ship you a CD for a $10 fee for US mail (more if you want it fedex.) Now I don’t mind the fee so much it’s a old scanner made back when OS 9 was the on the Mac and HP got to pay someone to write the drivers when a new OS comes out. It just having to wait a week to get the disc. I mean come on in this day and age waiting on snail mail is a *****. It’s not that hard to pay online for a download everyone is doing it and it would save HP money not having to mail the disc out. So HP pull you head out of your rump and figure out how to do something about this. I got stuff I want to get done and waiting for a week while you ship me a disc is stupid.
Sorry about going off on a rant there but stuff like this irks me to no end.
