Toy’sworks has announced the release of a new Clare figure. If you have been a long time reader of The Geek Review you will of course know that Clare is from the Anime series Claymore. This is her second figure release, her first being back in November of last year (click here is see my review of that figure.) Clare is slated for release in June and will retail for 5,800 yen. The 1/8 scale figure stands in at only 13cm tall, lack of height due to pose. It does look that there may be an interchangeable head as the add clearly show two different faces, but I have not be able to confirm this. Can any of you out there that can read Japanese tell me what the add is saying, particularly the blub over the insert photo.
I have not found her up for pre-order anywhere, will update when I do. I will be getting this one for sure but I do have some reservation about the face sculpt. The yoma face is OK but there is something about the normal one. While it isn’t a bad looking face it just doesn’t quite look like Clare. I am however loving the pose and the clothing. Here’s hoping they fix the face before release but I’m not getting my hopes up.

Just getting to EP18 of Claymore… I had downloaded the fan-sub a while back but had not the time to watch till now. It’s a great anime (I haven’t read the manga yet). I think I would pass on this figure (have to see it in person). The face is off for me but that could just be these pic’s. And the body looks too masculine than I would prefer. Also in the anime her clothing is skin tight (but like I said I have not read the manga so it could be that).. will wait till the figure comes out and see.
I haven’t gotten to the part of the manga where this outfit comes so I’m no help there. I was able to confirm from heiseidemocracy.com that the figure does come with two head options so that is a plus.
I will have to check it out when I see it in person. I almost bought the Megahouse Clare figure a week ago, however sellers are really blowing the price up on that one. I didn’t want to spend $90 on a figure that was originally around $52 and not so long ago. Had I been watching the series then I would have pre-ordered her.Oh well, my bad.
Yeah the Megahouse figure sold out quick. You best bet now is hope the do a reissue.
