Joining the Fleet
I have received good news both of my nephews who are in the Navy successfully complete their final training and will becoming home for a couple weeks before shipping out to their first duty stations. The picture above is from last September when I went back to North Carolina to see them graduate from the Navy Nuclear Power School. One of (if not the hardest) training program in the military.
Nick the one on the right (or is it the left? Twins are so hard to tell apart sometimes. Give me a sec to check again…. Yep he’s the one on the right.) is going to Pearl Harbor. He will be stationed on the USS Cheyenne (SSN 773) a Los Angeles-class submarine. John (on the left) will be stationed on the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN-72) a Nimitz-class supercarrier out of Everett, Washington. The balding gentleman in the center is me.
