Makeing a List
I am one of those people who can sit down at the computer to do 15 minutes of work and an hour later still not have it done. For example I’ve been meaning to order more ram for the Mac for the about the last week or so after my bonus check came in. I finally did it today, why because I put it on a list of thing to do. When I first started doing a todo list to help me keep on top of things that I wanted to get done I just had one long list. While this worked fine when the list was short, once it started to get long it look at made things look too overwhelming. The new list is different, there are five or six things that are going be done for any one day. There is still a master list but items get plucked off that and put on the nightly list with a time to complete estimate. I try to keep the total time to around 2 hours or so that still gives me time to play around after getting the list done. Now some of the things on the list can be done at the same time so often the total hours is greater the projected 2 hours. For example one of the things on tonight’s list is to covert one of my vinyl LPs to digital this take about an hour to do with my clean/play/clean/record method but while the first playing is going on I’m doing something else and while the recording is going (and I’m monitoring it) on I’m writing this post. So now that this post is complete I only have to finish up the LP and tonight’s list is done.
So how do you keep organized and on track?

The Mac has been just fine, didn’t have any problems with the firmware upgrade at all. So far everything as been pretty much smooth sailing. Firefox has hung on me a few times but that’s not apples fault, and once I get the RAM upgrade in that should take care of the the slow down I get while running the Win XP VM.

Thanks for the feedback. I’m thinking of picking one up at Amazon as they have a good rebate on it and no tax.

How is going with your Macpro? I’m still timid about ordering one. Have you done the firmware update for the ati card? Some people have had so much trouble with this version or the 08 Macpro… apple quality scares me these days and I have been using mac’s for 10 years now.
