Well not really Heaven but from the Jar o’ Pennies. Yep finally got off my lazy butt and got the jar to the nearest Coinstar machine. So I didn’t have to tote around the glass jar I dumped them into a doubled up paper bag, it weighed in at 34.5 lbs. So what does 34.5 pounds of pennies get you? Well you can see the final counts above there were almost 6000 pennies and a little over $6 in dimes and nickels. Now Coinstar does not count your change for free, they charge a 8.9% fee, so almost 10 cents on the dollar goes to Coinstar and who ever is hosting the machine. Now there is a way around the fee. If instead of taking the cash you get it in the form of gift card to one of several companies they wave the fee. (Most likely the company you get the card to picks up the 8.9%) That is the route I took so now I have 65 bucks to spend at Amazon cause you know I all ways need more books.
