Maker Faire Part Two: Sculptures
Because Maker Faire is all about things that people Make, be it practicable or just for fun, there was a large turn out of artist and their work. So today’s post covers some of the sculptures that were scattered here and there all over the fairgrounds.
These two big one were right near the main entrance and appear to be made from mostly rebar. You can’t see it but the male is bending down trying to pick up a little bird figure.
Now most people who see this one are most likely think War of the Worlds. But for me the first thing that popped into my head was the Tripod series of books.
Disney was one of the sponsors of the Maker Faire and had a pretty large section of one the buildings. Unfortunately I didn’t have the time to see any of it. I grabbed this pic of Wall-E while passing by. Wall-E is from the upcoming Pixar movie. You can check out the trailer for Wall-E here.
Some of these you’ll see again in Maker Faire Part Three: FIRE!!
