The Telectroscope

I came across this yesterday in my ramblings along the internet. The Telectroscope is one part modern art, one part interactive television, two parts retrofuture and all cool. Based off an idea from the turn of the last century but made possible by modern technology. The Telectroscope visual links New York and London over a real time video only fiber optic link. It was built by the original inventors great-grandson after he found drawings of it in his grandma’s attic. Luckily for us, and his sanity, he used modern tech to link the two city instead of digging a great tunnel, as was the original plan.
