Coming in September from Kotobukiya is Blanc Neige from Shinging Wind. Neige is 1/8 scale and stand is at 20cm tall. She will retail for 6,090 yen. She is already up for preorder at HLJ, J-list, Play-asia, and Kidnemo. I’m considering getting her to go with my Claclan figure, but with the dollar/yen exchange rate in the crapper figures are getting more expensive buy the day. Kidnemo does have a preorder for the US version of the figure, but the US distributor (Diamond) frankly sucks. So it’s up in the air for now. More Pics over at AmiAmi.

PS: Trivia. She was number 1 in yesterday’s Top 150 Daily Selling Figures in Japan, got pushed down by some To-Love-Ru figure in today’s ranking. Bah. I am filled with rage.
Unfortunately as far as I’m aware Diamond is Kotobukiya’s sole US distributor. I don’t see why they have a problem with getting stuff out on time as Diamond is also the sole distributor for Marvel and DC comics and they get those out every month. But, from what I’ve been reading they seem to have trouble with figures. I got to see how the funding levels work out before I decide if I am getting her. I got to replace the windshield in my car and that is going to set me back a good chunk of change.
Well the other way is to preorder her through better sources like HLJ, HobbySearch but you can bet shipping kills.
WTH did you do to your windscreen? That sure is one expensive thing to bother about, and it is necessary for drivers, which makes it all the more irritating.
You probably have to see if there are other figures you would prioritize, but a good bet is that Blanc Neige will be sold out quite fast unless they make enough of her, going by the rule of thumb in Japan’s sales.
The windshield got hit with couple of rocks that were kicked up by a big rig truck. Now a crack is making its way into the driver’s side so it’s replace it before the cops ticket it as being unsafe.
I get most of my stuff from HLJ, its just the US version comes out to be about $25US cheaper but doesn’t come out till about two months later then the Japan version and runs the risk of delays on top of that.
Asian release here for her, getting her cheaper too. But yea you might as well pay more for quality service…though 25 USD is a lot of difference. Up to you though, to see if you really want her in the end. Maybe wait for reviews? Though it may be too late then.
