Star Wars: Robot Chicken Style

Coming out on DVD July 22, from Cartoon Network and Adult Swim is the Robot Chicken Star Wars Special. For those living under a rock or don’t have cable TV Robot Chicken is a 15 minutes of stop motion skits that pokes fun at damn near everything that the geeks who stay up late and watch Cartoon Network hold dear. I don’t think a episode goes by that doesn’t tick off at least one hard core Fanboy.

The Special half hour Robot Chicken: Star Wars episode is about half old stuff and half new skits made just for the special. The crazy thing about is that they got George Lucas permission to do the special. They were even able to get George Lucas, and Mark Hamill to do voice work. My favorite skit from the special is where The Emperor get the phone call from Darth Vader telling him that the Death Star has been destroyed by a bunch of teenagers in a ‘Aluminum Falcon’. To see some clips head over to YouTube.
