Ah Strike Witches, a beautiful past that never was where teenage girls run around with no skirts on in order to show us their swimsuits. When danger strikes the girls don airplane like leggings, sprout cat or dog ears and a tail, to fly off and destroy the enemy. Throw in a hint of Yuri and they manage to hit damn near every otaku trope in the book. But it still a darn fun series from what I’ve seen of the first three episodes. What I want to know though is what the hell is up with the map of the world? Europe, Africa, and Asia all look fine but the Americas look like they were drawn buy a retarded monkey with a thing for stars. If I was the type to fall for conspiracies theories, I could come up with all sorts of explanations for a Japanese anime studio to miss draw the map. But, I will leave that as assignment for you the viewer.
