Was channel surfing the other day and found out that the SciFi channel has been rerunning the 1996 Vampire drama Kindred: The Embraced again. I haven’t watched Kindred in quite some time and seeing how I miss the first couple of episodes I dug around and found my VHS box set of the series. One little problem though it seems that my VCR has died, push the power button and nothing happens. I got out the phone book and it seems that there is no one left in this town that repairs TVs or VCRs any more. So either I’m going to have to re-buy the series on DVD and/or make a trip north to find some place that can fix my VCR.

It’s a nice unit too thou it and the Laser Disc player tend to be the bane of my existence when I am looking for a entreatment cabinet. The VCR is a dual deck model from Go Video so it is quite large even for one from the mid 90’s. The Laser Disc player is even deeper then the VCR. Ended up having to mail order the current TV cabinet from Wal-Mart. After finding one that would work for everything that have on the manufacture website. Though it isn’t big enough now, the Xbox 360 is sitting on the floor in front of everything else.
