Corpus Christi College’s new library has a very strage new clock. The Corpus Clock is part mechanical clock part art work. The clock is regulated by a grasshopper escapement that has taken the form of a time eating grasshopper. Instead of using hands to tell the time a series of slits exposes a series of LED that circle the face of the clock. The neat thing about the clock is that it is mechanical with the outer second wheel driving the minute disk which in turn drive the hour disk.
