Durning Hak5′s coverage of CES I saw what has to be the most expensive game controller I’ve ever seen. It’s Ion Audio’s Drum Rocker custom drum controller for Rock Band. The $299.99 (MSRP) controller which is available for both Playstation3 and Xbox 360
is less of a expensive game controller as it is a low cost electronic drum set. Because while you are just pushing button when you are playing the guitar or bass, with the drums you really can take that experience over to playing real drums. Rock Band 2 even has a drum teaching mode to help you learn. With the Drum Rocker once you get good enough you can remove the game controller module and replace it with a real drum brain like the Alesis DM5 or other drum module and have a real set of electronic drums, you can even ad a third cymbal 
. The set is also fully customizable with an aluminum frame and a fully metal kick petal. So if your into Rock Band drumming and want to take it to the next level this is the set for you.
