We are less then a week away from the release of the Watchmen movie. I think that is going to be the first truly gritty Superhero movie. Other have tried but have been held up by the PG-13 rating, Watchmen will be R and there is a lot you can do differently with that simple change. Well the movie be as good as the Graphic Novel? No, it can’t be. The books are just to visual dense and filled with references, backstories and in jokes, to truly be translated in to a 2 hour movie. But, so far it looks like they have grabbed the feeling and darkness of the books.
