Maker Faire 2009 is this weekend. The Maker Faire is a meetup of DIY, Crafters, Hackers (both hardware, and software), Artist, Pyromaniacs, and other smart and weird people. I went for one day last year, partly/mainly to see Abney Park, and had a great time. (You can see the pics here.) I would have loved to go again this year but with the job situation being what it is another trip would negatively impact the cash reserves. Hopefully I’ll be able to swing it next year.
