Well the site has been moved to it’s new server and everything seems to be working OK. I had to default to plan C to move the site. I had originally thought I would be able to do a seamless transition where you the viewer would not have notice the change at all. But do to some weirdness due to the way WordPress operates on the type of hosting I have that plan did not work out. So instead of doing a database move I defaulted to the WordPress export/import method.
It’s going to take some time to get all the bit of the site back up and working again. I think I’ll take the opportunity to add or drop some things from the old site that I wasn’t really using. The Now Reading plug-in is the first to go, it hasn’t been updated in sometime and I wasn’t using it much anyway. The update will take some time as I’ve been dealing with a bout of insomnia as of late and when I’m tired my brain just don’t work right.
