Well in my continued quest of self abuse by looking at figures I can’t afford I come across Goodsmile’s newest version of Black Rock Shooter. The original BRS figure carried the massive ‘Rock Cannon’ this time around she is welding the the slim but just as deadly ‘Black Blade’. I’m really liking this version a bit more then the first. This time around the pose is more dynamic with her stepping forwards while removing her coat. Her expression this time is more blank and deadly then wistful like last time.
She stands in at 1/8 scale and 23 cm tall a full 6cm shorter then the first version but that is do to a shorter and simpler base. The decreese in base size also accounts for the decress in cost ‘Black Blade’ version will retail for 6,800 yen, 3,000 cheaper the ‘Rock Cannon’. She won’t hit the streets till April but she is up for preorder at Kidnemo, J-list, AmiAmi, Play-Asia, HLJ, Hobby Search, and the rest of the usual suspects.
