So was going thru some of my anime and come across one of my old favorites, Golden Boy. Golden Boy is the story of Kintaro Oe a 25-year-old freeter (freelancer), pervert, and “travelling student”, who dropped out of college (on the verge of graduating) to go out and study the world. Each episode of the six volume OVA series has Kintaro meeting a beautiful woman that he both lusts after and generally wants to help or impress. The problem is that Kintaro almost always gives a very bad first impression.
Kintaro is the Golden Boy comes about do to the fact that with his massive Study skill he can learn almost anything in short period of time. In the first episode “Computer Studies” he learn to do computer programing from just reading books and teaches himself to touch type using a drawing of a keyboard.
The anime series is very eechi with out being porn but it does come darn close and is darn funny with some extreme changes in style. The OVAs came out in 1995 and does show a bit of its age thou I haven’t seen it on DVD just the older VHS dubs so that may be part of it. It is also the source of my all time favorite AMV.
