To say my taste in music is a little eclectic would be a bit of an understatement I listen to everything for classic rock and classical to Nerdcore and Synthpop.
While I don’t listen to a lot of metal there a few bands that I like. One of the guys I work with however is a real metal head and he turned me on to a band called Krypteria.
Krypteria’s sound falls in to that ill defined sub genre know as symphonic metal, basically metal with Classical influences. Started in 2001 as a “pop musical theatre studio project” in 2003 the self titled ‘fantasy-musical CD’ Krypteria was released.
At the time there was no lead vocalist, because the group founders want to use many different voices and match the vocals to the mood of each song. In 2004 the group re-recorded the song “Liberatio”, as a benefit single for India tsunami relief, with German/Korean singer Ji-In Cho. The single hit #3 on the German charts and it was from that project that Krypteria was officially formed. Since then Krypteria has released four albums and an EP.
Messiah is the first track off their latest album “All Beauty Must Die” which came out earlier this year. If you like Evanescence you should find Krypteria appealing.
Here’s the link to “Messiah” from Amazon. Anything you buy after clicking this link results in a small kickback to me from Amazon. All proceeds will be used to buy Christmas presents for my family. Ahh who am I kidding I’ll most likely use it to buy books for myself. But don’t worry I’ll still buy Christmas presents for my family.
