All Geek All The Time
G4 Underground did a nice piece on Steampunk, with Jake von Slatt and Abney Park. I like the line from the opening, ‘Steampunk is hard to define but like porn you’ll know it when you see it.’ I do think they went a bit overboard with the slowmo power walk bits with Abney Park.
Just found out that Abeny Park is doing a New Years Eve show at The Edison in Los Angeles. The Nautilist Ball will have Abeny Park headlining and doing three sets also preforming is Lucent Dossier and DJ Imagika so it looks like it is going to be five hours of Steampunky goodness. Tickets are [...]
Well the night time at Maker Faire 2008 not only brought fire but also Abney Park. If you’ve read my blog before your sure to know that I am a big Abney Park fan, and they are 50% to 70% of the reason I went to Maker Faire.
At this years Maker Faire there was a strong Steampunk contingent. With Jake vonSlatt of the Steampunk Workshop, Abney Park, Libby Bulloff of Exoskeletoncabaret, Magpie Killjoy of Steampunk Magazine and others making an appearance.

Well the tickets have been bought and the hotel booked, so I will be in the Bay Area on the weekend of May 3rd to attend Make Faire and to see Abney Park in concert. So anyone know a good Japanese Restaurant in San Mateo?
